About us

SpendSmart AI is built by KCH Labs, a sole proprietorship of Heston Baptist Dsouza, based in Mumbai, India. Support goes to the person who builds the app, so answers come from someone who knows the code.

Why there is no "connect your bank" button

Most budgeting apps are built on an aggregator such as Plaid or Yodlee. You sign in to your bank through a third party, and the app reads your transactions from them. It is convenient, and it means your banking credentials live in a system you did not pick.

SpendSmart AI takes a different route. There is no bank connection in the product, so there is no bank login to leak. The privacy claim is structural rather than a promise we are asking you to take on faith.

What you get for that is an app that works with no signal, keeps your data on your device first, and syncs only when you sign in and ask it to. Getting an expense in takes a few seconds: type a phrase, say it, photograph a receipt, or import a statement you already have, and the AI fills in the amount, category and date.
