By using SpendSmart AI ("the app"), you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. The service

SpendSmart AI is operated by KCH Labs, a sole proprietorship of Heston Baptist Dsouza, based in Mumbai, India ("we", "us"). It is a personal expense-tracking tool, provided for your own money management and convenience. It is not financial, accounting, investment, or tax advice. Decisions you make based on the app are your own responsibility.

2. Your account

You create an account with an email address and password, or a supported sign-in provider (Google, Apple). You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use SpendSmart AI. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. We are not liable for loss caused by unauthorized access resulting from your credentials being shared or compromised.

3. Subscriptions

SpendSmart AI offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. Prices vary by region — see the current monthly and yearly rates at spendsmartai.online or in the app.

• Web: Pro subscriptions purchased on the web are sold by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record (the seller) for the transaction — it processes the payment, collects any applicable taxes (such as VAT, GST, or sales tax), and issues your receipt/invoice.
• Mobile: subscriptions purchased in the iOS or Android apps are sold by Apple or Google as the merchant of record (billing managed via RevenueCat), and are subject to their billing terms — including renewal, applicable taxes, refunds, and receipts.

Because these providers act as the merchant of record, the payment contract, tax treatment, and invoice for your purchase are handled by them rather than by SpendSmart AI. For a refund, contact the platform you purchased from (the Dodo Payments customer portal for web, or Apple/Google for mobile).

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time through the platform you purchased from.

Prices are displayed in your local currency, and subscription amounts may vary by region.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app — including attempting to disrupt the service, reverse-engineer it, access other users' data, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

5. Availability & limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". While we work to keep it reliable and accurate, we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI categorization will always be correct. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Your data remains exportable so you always retain a copy.

6. Changes

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India.
